Blaster Master Zero: An 8-bit Style Action-Adventure Game for Play Station 4
Blaster Master Zero, developed by Inti Creates, is an action-packed 2D action-adventure game that is reminiscent of the golden age of the NES. The game is a top-down and sideview game that was created using the original 1988 title "Blaster Master" from Sunsoft as a base. The game features new areas and bosses, new gameplay elements, and a more robust scenario, making it a full version game that offers improved gameplay.
In Blaster Master Zero, you take control of the battle tank SOPHIA III on the sideview maps, exploring your surroundings as you search for the entrance to the dungeon where the area's boss lurks. Once you find a dungeon entrance, you exit SOPHIA III and make your way inside as the hero Jason and take on the mutants that dwell within in top-down mode. The game features mid-bosses and area bosses that you must defeat to acquire new items, sub-weapons, upgrades to SOPHIA III and Jason's equipment, and new abilities and maneuvers that allow SOPHIA III to access new areas. The game also offers a co-op multiplayer mode where Player 2 can provide support for Player 1 as they traverse through the game.
